INTRODUCTION The Federal Siberian Center of Cardiac Arrhythmias is established on basis of the of cardiac arrhythmias department of the Research Institute of Cardiology Tomsk Scientific Centre of the Academy of Medical Sciences of RF opened in 1980. It was the third cardiac arrhythmias department in Russia after the ones in Moscow and Kaunass and the first one in the eastern part of Russia. Today it is the only center in Siberia and Far East dedicated to treat complex heart disorders.
The center provides care for patients suffering from different types tachycardias, bradycardias and other arrhythmias. It is equipped with the most advanced computerized electrophysiologic system and other state-of-the-art equipment. 50 beds are available to receive patients in the present status.
