Moscow, December, 12th 2008. The first issue of journal “Modern medical techniques”, devoted to the latest scientific and practical achievements in the sphere of high-tech medical help, was published. The chief objective of the journal is to show modern trends in health care, the innovational techniques used in health care institutions, pharmaceutical companies and medical equipment production. The pilot issue covers a wide range of questions: role and tasks of State in development and improvement of Russian health care system; economy and management in medicine; drugs and technologies, in particular, latest trends and modern technologies in cardiological practice and the like. Among the authors – academicians, professors, heads of institutes, leading medical centers and patient care institutions not only in Moscow and St. Petersburg, but also in Siberia, Volga region, the Urals and other parts of Russia. The issue contains articles by T.A. Golikov, E.I. Chazov, L.A. Bokeria, R.G. Oganov, V.A. Tuteljan, N.F. The specialists of Tomsk Research Institute of Cardiology SB of the RAMS together with the representatives of Electropulse Ltd. took part in a research and practice conference “Topical issues of cardio-surgery and invasive cardiology” held on 6-9 of November 2008 in “Victory” hotel (24a, Genueskaya St., Odessa, Ukraine). The following reports have been presented at the conference: · “Modern techniques of interventional arhythmology” by Professor S.V. Popov, deputy director of TRIC SB RAMS, presenter – c.m.s. S.N. Krivolapov; · “Modern medical equipment for complicated heart-rhythm disturbances surgery” by A.A. Kostrikin, Director of Electropulse. Within the frameworks of the conference Russian and Ukraine surgeons (S.N. Krivolapov, S.P. Ermuraki), with the technical support of c.t.s. V.V. Trizna, a developer of ELCART 2 system with a navigational function, conducted several operations on atrial flutter, ventricular extrasystole, VPV-syndrome. The operations took place in Prof. A.I. Minakov Clinical Hospital ¹ 9 with a simultaneous broadcasting to a conference hall. “Electropulse” company express our gratitude to the conference’s organizing committee for an excellent organization and hospitable meeting and hope for the beneficial cooperation in the future. |

On the 03-08 of August, 2008 president of ELECTROPULSE ltd. Alexander Kostrikin has visited People's Republic of China. In Guangzhou city A.Kostrikin and David Huang, executive director of Lingjing Medical Depurative Engineering Co.ltd., made a Memorandum of Cooperation. This Agreement provides SFDA getting for ELKART II system in People's Republic of China and marketing for sale and operations in Cities of China for surgical treatment of heart rhythm disturbance. Certification process in Ministry of Health of People's Republic of China started in September. In Luoyang there was meeting with director of Luoyang Central Hospital Zang ZhaoShu, where was shaped a plan of ELKART II delivery and clinical support together with Tomsk Research Institute of Cardiology, Russian Academy of Medical Science.

On the 21-22 of May, 2008 at Republican Cardiology Centre of Ministry of Health, Republic of Uzbekistan (Tashkent) due to organizational activity of “Electropulse” company there were conducted 5 surgeries (made for the first time in Uzbekistan), using advanced methods of interventional Arrhythmology for the purpose of radical therapy of heart rhythm disturbance. Successful result was obtained due to cooperation of “Electropulse” company with Tomsk Research Institute of Cardiology, Siberian branch in the field of equipment delivery with clinical support. Surgeries were conducted by Professor Popov S.V. (deputy director of Tomsk Research Institute of Cardiology, Siberian branch) on the ELKART II system, made by “Electropulse”. |

Audit of quality management system Our Company successfully passed annual compliance audit of quality management system for conformance to ISO 9001:2000, ISO 13485:2003 requirements, and also for conformance of company products to requirements of directive 93/42/ÅÅÑ of Council of the European Communities about medical devices. Audit was conducted by SGS Company – the world leader in a sphere of inspection services, verification, testing, and certification. All functioning processes of quality management system, normative documents, and work of operating departments were checked during this audit. The auditors noted increase of production standards and staff competence in the sphere of quality management system. So, certificates for standards ISO 9001:2000, ISO 13485:2003 were extended as well as for the medical devices of ELECTROPULSE ltd. company: ELKART II universal electrophysiology system, S-350 RF universal electrosurgical generator, ALLIGATOR sealing system for large diameter vessels sealing and tissue bundles coagulation, ARGON PLUS argon gas supply unit, is extended for CE marking as a confirmation of requirements adequacy to Directive of Council of the European Communities 93/42/ÅÅÑ about medical devices. |
