       Every year in Russia because of cardiovascular diseases die about 1,2 million of people, 20 % of them is in a working age.  Cadiovascular disease is on the first place in mortality and sickness rate in Russia.

 

      Because of cardiovascular diseases die about 50% people  from general number of population, because of cancer – 22%, injury – 3%, diabetes – 2%, AIDS – 0,7%.

 

     Government  assumed some measures of hightechnologics medical provision for country population  for account 7 new cardiocenters of building.

But mortality analysis indicate that there is no cardinal changes and probably wouldn’t be in the nearest future.

 

      “Electropulse” (Tomsk) is a developer and producer of diagnostic  and cardiovascular disease  treatment devices. From 1992 “Electropulse” together with scientists of academic institutions create special medical devices for diagnostics and treatment of cardiac arrhythmia, also surgical devices for broad spectrum operations.

 

      Company created target programm “Arrhythmology relief for russian population” – making import substitution devices for cardiovascular surgery. From 9th of october 2009 this program by order ¹909 of Industrial Trade Ministry was included in register of perspective projects in the area of pharmaceutical and medical industry and was reported to the President Of Russian Federation.

 

       The main aim of this program is arrhythmologic relief development in regions, at least for 50 federation subjects.

 

       We consider, that the main condition for  Program of radical changes cardiovascular diseases mortality situation is a generation of  First level cardiovascular diagnostic system. It  helps  to make infrastructure of early detection diseases  for their more effectively treatment.

 

       Diagnostic  and treatment process should include 4 levels , which  should be situated logically, as from the first level. The first level is the most extensive level, available and inexpensive, can be used for cardiac disease  suspicion detection in broad cross-section of the population. Considering of large-scale participation and availability of this kind diagnostic , price will be acceptable even for the village aid station.

 

       On the second level – specialized cardiologicall section, where carrying out researches with more extensive analysis and test  spectrum. Third level is cardiodispancery (advanced survey with non-invasive methods). On the fourth level – specialized cardiocenter, with advanced diagnostic  and necessary cardiac surgery.

 

      “Electropulse” staff developed and serially produced the whole list of devices: from     initial stage sreening diagnostic, cardiac  non-invasive electrophisiologicall researches, to final stage – carrying out cardiac surgery.

 

       The main tool for  this programm is the most tiny in the world out patient cardioregister “ELSCAN”. The weight of this “smart” device is 35 gramm – it allows during few days ( ~ 7 days) register and memorize electrocardiogramm, which will inform doctor about patient cardiac anomalies. Device can detect and write bradycardia and tachycardia. Small size and weight is very comfortable for patient, it allow to forget about devices existence. You can enjoy simple lifestyle, even go in for sports.

 

     One more direction can provide cardiovascular disease treatment with modern biotechnologies. It includes the whole package measures for effective usage of mesenchymal stem cells for therapy of cardiovascular pathology. This direction has financial support from “Electropulse” since 2000. 

Name of the project :  “Biocomposits using via nanomagnet particles insertion into mesenchymal stem cells, also using of bioengineering construction for theirs address delivery to myocardium, microenvironment heart tissue local activation and biocomposites immobilization by external magnetic field for cardiovascular disease treatment “.

For succesfully executed works we should fullfill next conditions:

 

  1. Using of bone marrow autologous cells  (our own cells)
  2. Using of multipotential mesenchymal stem cells.
  3. Using of developed and serially released ELKART system and controllable  hollow inside catheter with adress delivery (taking part in the Sciense and Innovation Grant FA, manager Tkachuk V.A)
  4. Microenvironment activation (point RF exposure of ELKART system)
  5. Cultural technology and bioreactor using for inclusion ferromagnetic nanoparticle (FNP – Fe2O3xFeO) in a mesenchymal stem cells with external magnet  for immobilization mesenchymal stem cells in myocardium and other organs. (Patent)

 

This program will be realized by consortium of development staff:

 

-          “Electropulse”, Tomsk

-           Research Institite of Blood transfusion, named by E.N. Meshalkin, Novosibirsk

-          Research Institute of Cardiology, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Siberian Branch, Tomsk

-          Research Institute of Oncology, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Siberian Branch, Tomsk

-          Research Institute of clinical and experimental lymphology, Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch, Novosibirsk

-          Tomsk Politechnical University, Tomsk

 

       New direction, which we started in 2010,  provide arterial hypertension (AH)  treatment with Radio-Frequently Generator, which is used for cardiac arrhythmia. This treatment mode based on RF influence on extramural structure for the purpose of kidney sympathetic innervation for resistant  AH treatment.

 

       Today AH is the main problem for the population health. Because of prevalation and hard complications of cardiac infarction and stroke of brain – AH is the key reason of adult population disabling and mortality.

 

       In Russia first and only one researches in this direction was carrying out with “Electropulse” devices in Research Institute of Cardiology, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Siberian Branch, Tomsk.

 

      In this method it’s necessary to improve RF destructer and specialized catheter fabrication.

 

      Adoption of this methods , devices, medical techniques and introducing to Government Programs of Medical development in Russian regions allow us in the future reduce cardiovascular mortality.  Necessary  condition for this researches is financial share of Government and other particular financial structures.
